The Research Director

We are seeking a commercially mindedResearch Directorwho thrives at the intersection of insight, strategy, and business growth. This is a senior position for someone who can think beyond data — someone who can translate complex evidence into sharp, business relevantinsightfulrecommendations that influence brand decisions at the highest level.

Market insights projects

We workpurely in the Healthcarespace, so an understanding of the pharma industry is a requirement. You will work with clients to understand what they need to take their brand to market and deliver to their need.

Understanding that there is a patient at the end of the journey motivates and drives us to ensure that we are providing world class insights, that can be converted to an actionable strategy. On a day-to-day basis this may meanbrainstorming challenges and solutions with clients, leadingkick off meetings, working with the team to collate the data andcreateainsights storyfor the client,presenting the teamsrecommendations,and working withourConsultancy business toactivate insight andexplore further opportunities within the project.

Client relationship development

The key to developing long lasting relationships with clients is you! You will be the face of thebusinessand you will be responsible for growing accounts, developing relationships and exploring further opportunities within the client business. Both through the delivery of great work and proactive identification of extended partnership opportunities. 15% of your week will be spent on seeking new opportunities within your existing client base, so we are looking for you to demonstrate account growth experience.We are proactively looking to engage with clients where they are, so travel to client locations within Europe and Internationally is anticipated.

Team growth

You will be leading and developing teams of researchers,includingline responsibilities and via project teams. They will be looking to you for skills development, career progression plans and regular 1-2-1meetings to review performance. Soyou will need to have had experience of developing a high performing team!

What You’ll Bring
  • A degree or higher in a scientific, communications or marketing field, or the equivalent in experience
  • Experience inleading teams withinan Insights company/department
  • Experience of line managing and developing a team of Researchers
  • Demonstrablerelationshipdevelopment experience and showcase account revenue growth
  • Able to communicate effectively and consultatively with clientsand with colleaguesto deliver projects and develop long lasting relationships beyond execution of research alone
  • Knowledge of the drug commercialisation process and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
