Job description
Repairs Surveyor - 4 Months

We are working with a leading social housing provider seeking an experienced Repairs (Damp and Mould) Surveyor to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will primarily focus on damp and mould-related projects, ensuring compliance with housing standards and delivering high-quality outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own portfolio of projects, including scoping works and providing technical advice.
  • Collaborate with the Repairs Team and contractors to ensure remedial works are completed correctly and on time.
  • Take ownership of complex cases, including damp and mould issues, HHSRS hazards, and disrepair claims, from initial inspection through to completion.
  • Conduct detailed property surveys, diagnose building defects, and apply appropriate building pathology and testing methods.
  • Produce comprehensive reports and specifications to support compliance, including Section 20 notices and legal claims.
  • Carry out mutual exchange condition reports and other related inspections.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified and experienced surveyor with a strong background in damp, mould, and disrepair within social housing.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Awaab's Law and relevant housing legislation.
  • Experience in planned works or void property delivery.
  • Additional qualifications such as CSTDB, fire safety certifications, or health and safety credentials (e.g., IOSH, NCRQ) are highly desirable
