RecruitME is recruiting a Repairs Scheduler / Scheduling Assistant to join an Asset Management team in Newhouse, supporting reactive property maintenance and void works across Central Scotland.
You’ll plan daily diaries for multi-trade operatives, arrange appointments with tenants and keep repairs moving. From urgent two-hour emergencies to routine repairs with 28-day timescales, you’ll use your judgement to allocate work, adjust schedules and keep everyone informed.
Working closely with operatives, subcontractors and Contract Managers, you will:
Schedule repairs for joiners, plumbers, electricians, painters and other property maintenance trades.
Allocate jobs based on trade skills, availability, priority and realistic completion times.
Reorganise diaries when emergency repairs or changing circumstances affect planned appointments.
Contact tenants and customers to arrange appointments, explain changes and resolve queries.
Check completed jobs, reviewing operative notes, photographs, videos and supporting documents.
Issue and close subcontractor jobs, maintain accurate records and follow up outstanding actions.
Monitor scheduling dashboards and operational reports to support response targets and timely completion.
You’ll have at least two years’ experience in a comparable scheduling or repairs planning role, with experience coordinating trade operatives.
Social housing repairs experience is preferred, although candidates with relevant facilities management scheduling experience will also be considered.
We’re looking for someone who understands how long different trade jobs take, stays calm when urgent work disrupts the diary and communicates clearly with tenants and colleagues.
You’ll also need strong organisation, customer service and problem-solving skills, alongside confidence using Microsoft Office and computerised scheduling systems. CAFM experience would be useful, and training will be provided on Bell Group’s systems.
£26,000–£27,000 annual salary.
Opportunity to earn up to 25% bonus, subject to scheme terms.
23 days’ holiday plus public holidays, increasing with service.
Holiday buy and sell option.
Company pension and parking.
Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support.
Referral bonus, flu vaccinations and training opportunities.
