Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Repairs Planner to join their team in Hutton on a temp-to-perm basis. The role involves coordinating repairs, scheduling works, and managing operatives’ diaries to ensure timely completion.

You will liaise with residents and customers, coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams, and maintain records. A strong focus on organisation, communication and customer service is essential for success in this busy environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Repairs Planner, Planner, Scheduler or similar.
• Experience in social housing, property services, repairs or maintenance is desirable.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Confident managing a busy workload and prioritising tasks.
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
• Proactive and professional approach.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule repairs and maintenance works.
• Allocate jobs to operatives and manage diaries.
• Book appointments with residents and customers.
• Liaise with operatives, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Keep customers updated on repairs and appointments.
• Monitor outstanding jobs and progress works.
• Manage access issues, cancellations and rebooking.
• Handle customer queries and escalate where required.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems.
• Ensure jobs are completed within agreed timescales and SLAs.
• Provide general administration and support within the repairs team.
