Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced Repairs Planner / Scheduler for a well-established contractor in Loughton. You will manage the daily diaries of 12 operatives, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.

This is a permanent role offering stability and the chance to work closely with residents and the operations team. The ideal candidate has a background in repairs and maintenance, strong organisational and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Experience as Repairs Planner or similar coordination role.
• Experience in repairs, maintenance, social housing or property services.
• Ability to manage multiple operatives' diaries and coordinate subcontractors.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Confident in a fast-paced environment and prioritising workloads.
• Good IT skills and experience using repairs management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the daily diaries of 12 operatives.
• Schedule and allocate repairs and maintenance jobs efficiently.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their workloads.
• Liaise with operatives, supervisors, subcontractors and residents regarding appointments and work updates.
• Monitor outstanding jobs and ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
• Manage cancellations, rebook appointments and resolve scheduling issues.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
• Provide updates to the operations team on job progress and outstanding works.
• Deliver excellent customer service while supporting the smooth running of the repairs service.
