Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading generator hire company to recruit a Rental Service Controller in Bristol. The role is full-time and permanent, focusing on coordinating service activities, handling customer enquiries, and ensuring responsive service while minimising downtime.

The successful candidate will manage service visits, support field engineers, maintain records, and liaise with internal rental teams to maximise asset utilisation and deliver excellent customer

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience essential.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent telephone manner and professional customer service approach.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for service-related enquiries.
• Handle inbound and outbound service and breakdown enquiries via telephone and email.
• Arrange service visits and maintain clear communication with customers.
• Assist with coordinating field service engineer responses to breakdowns and service requests.
• Support the planning and coordination of preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and remote repairs.
• Manage service-related email communications promptly and professionally.
• Work closely with Rental Service Supervisors and colleagues across the business to coordinate operational requirements.
• Ensure requests from the internal rental service team are actioned effectively.
• Help maximise asset utilisation and minimise equipment downtime.
• Maintain a high standard of communication with internal teams and external customers.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the rental service operation.
