Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Leeds is looking for a part-time Nurse Specialist in Renal Transplant. The successful candidate will guide post-transplant patients through their initial inpatient phase and assist with home transitions. Responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing specialist care to a caseload of around 1250 patients. Candidates should have a Level 1 Registered Nurse qualification and substantial experience, particularly in transplant nursing. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to support and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Level 1 with substantial experience at Band 5 or equivalent.
• Experience in transplant nursing and audit, essential for this role.
• Must hold a teaching/assessing qualification.

Responsibilities

• Guide post-renal transplant patients through the inpatient phase.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during ward rounds.
• Provide comprehensive discharge education.
