Job summary

Crown Commercial Service is seeking a Business Manager in Birmingham to support senior management and coordinate the directorate through policy, processes, and standards. The role ensures efficient, effective operations and achievement of objectives within the Consultancy Operations team.

The successful candidate will work with the Director and SMT, manage communications, risk, and business planning, and may travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and flexibly with a focus on delivering outcomes.
• Articulate communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Capable of building and maintaining effective relationships based on trust.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director and SMT in coordinating effective management of the directorate.
• Manage the teams’ internal and external communications programme with the communications team.
• Support the implementation of directorate projects and BAU activities.
• Coordinate directorate-level operational risk and issue management.
• Oversee development of directorate business plans and monitor progress against objectives.
• Provide cover for the Consultancy Operations Business Manager and support occasional travel.
