Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is hiring for a software engineer to design, implement and validate satellite flight software. You will work across Linux and RTOS-based systems, ensuring robust, traceable software for space missions.

You will collaborate with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations to integrate subsystems and support post-launch operations, while driving continuous improvement in architecture and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong programming capability in Rust, or solid understanding in C or C++ with motivation to transition to Rust in production environments.
• Experience in Linux development environments, scripting, and command-line tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, pytest).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain satellite flight software.
• Support ground tools, ensuring robustness, traceability, and reliability for space missions.
• Develop features for Linux/RTOS-based systems following mission requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD processes to maintain high quality.
• Maintain configuration control, documentation, and full software traceability.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams to test subsystems.
