Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking an embedded software engineer for satellite flight software in the Data Division. You will design, implement, validate, and maintain software for Linux and RTOS environments, collaborating across Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams.

Responsibilities include CI/CD, code reviews, testing campaigns, and ensuring traceability and reliability for mission-critical space applications. UK-based applicants with right to work are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Rust, or strong C/C++ with motivation to transition to Rust in production.
• Strong Linux development experience and scripting ability.
• Awareness of embedded/space software standards and secure coding principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain satellite flight software.
• Support ground tools; ensure robustness and traceability for space missions.
• Develop features for Linux and RTOS-based systems per requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD to maintain quality.
• Maintain documentation and full software traceability throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams for integration.
• Contribute to post-launch operations and build/integration activities.
