Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a strategic Service Designer to join our Transformation Design Group. You will work at the heart of multidisciplinary teams to shape end-to-end services that are accessible, efficient, and centered around real user needs.

You will lead the mapping of current and future states, align digital delivery with policy and operational realities, and deliver services that improve people’s lives.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of service design fundamentals and applying them to drive measurable impact.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and guide teams toward clear directions.
• Strategic thinking to design scalable, enduring services.
• Inclusive by default, championing accessibility and inclusion.
• Communicate complex ideas simply to diverse audiences.
• Use research and insights to inform decisions and justify approaches.

Responsibilities

• Set and align around a clear service vision and shared direction.
• Plan and run workshops to drive alignment, clarity, and decisions.
• Collaborate with clients to co-create solutions and build partnerships.
• Work within agile, multidisciplinary teams to deliver iteratively.
• Make complexity visible with service blueprints and journey maps.
• Interpret performance data to guide design decisions and measure success.
