Job summary
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Engineer for our Energy Networks team. The role is based from Epsom, with potential for work across Leeds, Birmingham, or Glasgow, and offers a hybrid working model.
You will conduct advanced offshore wind system studies, EMTP analyses, and dynamic simulations to support grid integration and project delivery. You will lead RFP responses, mentor staff, and deliver training while maintaining strong client communication and documentation.
Qualifications
- Masters/bachelor in electrical engineering with relevant industrial experience.
- Chartered Engineer – IET Member or in an accredited scheme to become Chartered Engineer.
- Comprehensive experience in studies for Offshore Wind projects at Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design stages, with at least 4 years dedicated to major offshore wind project.
Responsibilities
- Lead offshore wind power system studies including grid compliance, load flow, short circuit, protection, and harmonics.
- Prepare study reports and respond to proposals with estimations of man-hours.
- Mentor junior staff and deliver training on system studies and software tools.
