Job summary

Parkside Recruitment seeks a Senior Employee Relations Manager to provide practical ER support across the business. You will serve as the first point of contact for General Managers, Territory Managers and People Business Partners, promoting fair and commercially sound ER practices while minimising risk.

This hands-on role collaborates with operational leaders and the People Team to manage ER cases, coach managers, and build confidence and capability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience advising and coaching managers on employee relations issues.
• Strong judgement balancing risk, fairness, and commercial impact.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, pragmatic ER advice to managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability cases.
• Ensure ER cases are managed fairly and in line with legislation and policies.
• Coach line managers to handle ER matters confidently and reach positive outcomes.
• Build relationships with People Partners and business leaders to support ER objectives.
• Manage ER enquiries through the ER inbox and escalate high-risk cases.
• Own end-to-end case management with accurate updates in ServiceNow.
