Job summary

Parkside Recruitment is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Manager to provide trusted ER support across the business. You’ll be the first contact for GMs, Territory Managers and People Partners, promoting fair, consistent ER practices while minimising risk.

This fully remote role works with operational leaders and the People Team to coach managers, manage ER cases end-to-end, and drive capability across the business, with a monthly in-person team meet-up.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice.
• Proven experience advising and coaching managers on ER issues, including complex cases.
• Strong judgement balancing risk, fairness and commercial impact.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple cases.
• Collaborative, 'one team' mindset and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, pragmatic advice to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability).
• Ensure ER cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with legislation and policies.
• Coach and support line managers to handle ER matters effectively.
• Build relationships with People Business Partners, Territory Managers, General Managers and the People Team.
• Manage ER enquiries through the ER inbox and escalate high-risk cases.
• Own end-to-end case management with timely updates on ServiceNow and other systems.
• Monitor ER trends and produce case reporting for insight-led decisions.
• Support long-term sickness and capability cases with accurate records.
• Assist with ER projects, policy updates and ER training delivery.
• Liaise with legal advisors, ACAS and occupational health as needed.
• Stay up to date with employment legislation and policy improvements.
