M-KOPA is hiring a permanent Senior Backend Engineer to join our Asset Sales group. You will build distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure, operating in an event-driven architecture at scale, and own end-to-end delivery from idea to production.

Lead with AI-native engineering practices, embrace DevOps ownership, and collaborate with diverse teams across UK, Europe, and Africa while contributing to its mission of financial inclusion.

Qualifications

• Strong C#/.NET development experience.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Microservices on Azure with Kubernetes.
• Observability tooling to understand production behavior.
• Ability to use AI tools in daily engineering workflow.
• DevOps ownership and on-call experience.
• Collaborative in distributed, multi-time-zone teams.
• Continual learning mindset and openness to feedback.
