Job summary

M-KOPA is hiring a permanent Senior Backend Engineer to join our Asset Sales group. You will build distributed, event-driven C#/.NET microservices on Azure, scale our FinTech platform, and contribute to AI-native engineering practices.

This remote role supports teams across the UK, Europe, and Africa, with a focus on financial inclusion and scalable backend systems. You will own end-to-end delivery, work in a globally distributed team, and use modern observability tools to ensure production

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of C# and .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Microservices on Azure and Kubernetes architecture.
• Experience using observability tooling (Grafana, Application Insights).
• Comfort using AI tools as part of daily engineering workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed C#/.NET microservices on Azure.
• Own end-to-end delivery from idea to production and iteration.
• Collaborate effectively in distributed teams across time zones.
