Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a Clinical Advisor to perform telephone triage using NHS Pathways and support NHS 111 services. The role requires nurse or paramedic registration, with homeworking possible after meeting performance and attendance criteria.

You will assess a wide range of clinical conditions, make clinical decisions, and provide home care advice while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. A local site attendance of at least 24 hours per month is expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years recent experience in adult acute or primary/community care
• Significant post-registration training, consolidation and experience
• Triage or telephone advice experience
• Experience of working independently
• NMC/HPCP registrations as above

Responsibilities

• Speak with callers and provide telephone triage using NHS Pathways
• Assess callers with a wide range of clinical conditions
• Make clinical decisions on the most appropriate action for each caller
• Give home care advice and refer callers on to further care
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care
• Complete training, assessments and call audits, passing them to stay in the role
• Attend the local site at least 24 hours a month to support Health Advisors
• Maintain a productivity of at least 3.8 cases per hour, including when homeworking
