Job summary

IC24 is seeking a Clinical Advisor to perform telephone assessments for NHS 111 using NHS Pathways and clinical judgement. The role involves evenings, nights and weekends with shifts ranging from 16 to 37.5 hours.

You must be a Registered Adult Nurse or Paramedic with at least two years of post-registration experience, able to manage complex conversations and provide guidance to colleagues across a multidisciplinary urgent care team.

Qualifications

• Registration as an Adult Nurse or Paramedic.
• At least two years' post-registration experience in primary or urgent care settings.
• Excellent assessment, communication and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients by phone using NHS Pathways and clinical judgement.
• Provide self-care advice, safety-netting and referrals as needed.
• Support Health Advisors on escalated calls and provide clinical guidance.
