Barum & Dewar, part of the Macfarlane Group, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Central England/ Midlands region in a remote role. You will manage existing accounts, identify new opportunities, and lead from the front in a consultative sales process focused on bespoke packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Recent B2B field sales or customer-facing experience.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Willingness to learn about sector and product solutions.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Residence in the wider Midlands area; remote-working setup acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business plan for the territory to maximise sales and maintain high service levels.
• Use a consultative approach to tailor packaging solutions to client needs.
• Nurture and grow existing customer relationships.
• Identify and convert new opportunities and clients.
• Proactively generate leads through cold calling where appropriate.
• Grow and leverage your professional network and target decision-makers.
• Plan approaches, sales presentations and pitches; manage quotes and follow-ups.
• Meet annual and monthly sales targets and maintain robust sales administration.
