Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager for a Midlands-based packaging manufacturer. You will drive new business growth while managing an established customer portfolio and selling value-added packaging solutions.

Based hybrid/field-based with travel to customer sites across the UK and attendance at the Wolverhampton office as required. Salary £35,000-£50,000 DOE plus £20,000-£30,000 realistic OTE and uncapped commission, with a company car or car allowance

Qualifications

• Experience in B2B sales within the packaging sector.
• Proven track record of generating new business and growing accounts.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and win new business opportunities within the packaging market.
• Develop and grow relationships with manufacturers, brand owners and key decision-makers.
• Manage and expand existing customer accounts to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Sell value-added packaging solutions tailored to customers' technical and commercial requirements.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Collaborate with internal production and technical teams to meet customer needs.
• Build long-term strategic partnerships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets.
