Job summary

Focus Group is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to lead hands-on installations and customer deployments across your area. You’ll be the subject matter expert in networking, servers and storage, or cloud, and you’ll drive projects from kickoff to completion.

This remote, field-based role requires 3–4 days on the road weekly, with visits to diverse sites from small businesses to enterprise, plus mentoring peers and supporting ongoing service delivery. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support and field delivery, ideally in an MSP.
• Strong networking knowledge: VLANs, routing, wireless, security.
• Experience with servers/storage: Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware, M365 & Azure.
• Cloud tech experience across M365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint.
• Able to lead projects and mentor peers.
• Full valid UK driving licence.

• Deliver complex fault resolution and project leadership.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices.
• Travel to customer sites 3–4 days per week.
