Job summary

Focus Group is seeking a Networking Specialist to lead network projects across the UK, including LAN/WAN refreshes, SD‑WAN rollouts, and firewall/wireless deployments. You will coordinate with vendors, mentor engineers, and handle complex issues, while contributing to cloud migrations and security implementations.

The role is home based with travel to customer sites, offering a 40k base salary plus car allowance/van and clear progression into senior technical roles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support, infrastructure or solutions delivery.
• CCNA certification.
• Expertise in VLANs, routing and switching, firewalls, WAN/SD‑WAN and wireless design.
• Experience with Meraki, Aruba, Cisco, SonicWall or Ubiquiti.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver LAN/WAN refreshes, SD‑WAN rollouts, firewall and wireless deployments.
• Act as escalation point for complex network issues and scope solutions on calls.
• Mentor other engineers and share knowledge.
• Support cloud migrations, server/virtualisation and security deployments.
