Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Home Ownership Officer to deliver a high-quality leasehold service to shared owners, leaseholders and freeholders. You will work from home with regular travel to Birmingham and Worcester offices, supporting teams and managing cases end-to-end.

The role includes handling lease management queries, arrears, notices, and applications for subletting or re-mortgages, with opportunities to signpost to Citizens Advice and National Debtline. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Background in Home Ownership or Housing Management with knowledge of leasehold legislation.
• Experience in income collection for leaseholders/shared owners and freeholders is advantageous.
• Strong customer focus and proactive approach to workload.
• Willingness to undergo Basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver an excellent service to shared owners, leaseholders and freeholders.
• Deal with lease management queries and arrears to limit lender repossessions.
• Provide front-line leasehold management, processing notices and subletting/re-mortgage/lease extension applications.
• Refer to sustainable tenancies teams and signpost to external support agencies as needed.
