Job summary

ALTER TECHNOLOGY TUV NORD UK LTD is seeking a technically adept sales professional to drive growth in semiconductor optoelectronics services across the UK and Europe.

You will identify leads, develop proposals, and manage relationships to meet aggressive revenue targets, while collaborating with engineering to shape new offerings. Regular travel is required with flexibility for remote work where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Previous sales or business development in a high-tech field.
• Proven knowledge of optoelectronics assembly/packaging processes.
• Knowledge of photonics ICs (PIC), diode lasers and free-space optics.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify sales leads, analyze requirements, and pitch services to new customers.
• Partner with customers to understand business needs and objectives.
• Review RFQs and align with technical capabilities and business goals.
• Develop proposals and quotations that reflect ALTER UK's value proposition.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned sectors and accounts.
• Provide forecasts (annual, quarterly, monthly) and identify funding sources (e.g., Innovate UK, EU, ESA).
• Collaborate with Engineering Leads to develop roadmaps and new services.
• Communicate market and technology trends internally.
