Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Lead, Build team to drive strategy and execution for the systems that convert source code into secure, distributable artifacts for Self-Managed and other delivery targets. You will own the build platform foundations enabling faster, self-service delivery for development teams.

You will lead a distributed, remote team and push for high reliability, security, and observability, while leveraging AI tooling to boost productivity and efficiency across the delivery platform.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large distributed services and owning technical strategy.
• Track record of maintaining high-SLO services (99.99%).
• Experience using AI tools to boost team productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead Build team roadmap across platforms and targets.
• Own delivery of distributable artifacts (packages, images).
• Drive build-once, deploy-everywhere model across releases.
