Job summary

Real Life Options is recruiting a Relief Support Worker in Falkirk and surrounding areas to join our team. This role involves helping individuals in their own homes, supporting daily living tasks, and promoting independence in a supportive environment.

Hours are part time and relief, with driving preferred due to coverage needs. Full training and PVG disclosure will be provided; benefits include holiday pay, pension and opportunities for career progression.

About the Role

You’ll become part of a dedicated team of experienced support workers, assisting individuals in their own homes. On a typical day, you’ll help promote independence and support people to meet their chosen goals. This includes help with daily living skills such as medication administration, cooking, and household tasks.

The individuals we support enjoy a variety of meaningful activities each day, and you’ll play a key role in encouraging and enabling them to achieve their life goals in a safe and happy environment. You’ll work both independently and as part of a supportive team.

What You'll Do

  • Support individuals with medication, cooking, and household tasks
  • Encourage social interaction with friends, family, and community events and promote independence
  • Communicate with medical professionals and implement support plans and risk assessments
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of support provided

  • Work independently and as part of a supportive team

What we’re looking for

  • Committed to delivering high standards of care
  • Able to work on a rota basis, including alternate weekends
  • Due to the locations of cover a driver would be preferred for this role

This role is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. A PVG check will be required for successful applicants
