Job summary

Real Life Options in Fraserburgh is seeking Relief Support Workers to help empower adults with disabilities to live independently and with dignity. You will join a compassionate team providing care for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, epilepsy, and physical disabilities.

You’ll work relief shifts across days, evenings, nights and weekends, with sleepovers possible and every second weekend off.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in support work is a bonus, but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, epilepsy, and physical disabilities.
• Assist with personal care and medication administration.
• Support with cooking, cleaning and household tasks.
• Budgeting and financial planning assistance.
• Provide social support and enable community participation.
• Attend team meetings and maintain accurate records.
• Encourage independence and improve quality of life.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll be part of a committed team helping adults with:

• Learning disabilities
• Mental health needs
• Autism
• Epilepsy
• Physical disabilities
• Challenging behaviour

Your day may involve:

• Supporting with personal care and administering medication
• Helping with cooking, cleaning and household tasks
• Budgeting and financial planning
• Providing social support and enabling community participation
• Attending team meetings and maintaining accurate records
• Encouraging independence and enhancing quality of life

You’ll work a variety of shifts, including early mornings (from 7:30am), evenings (until 10pm) , weekends, and public holidays. Sleepovers and waking night shifts may also be required. Every second weekend off.
