Job summary

Staffline are recruiting a Security Relief Officer to work in Oxford retail stores where no two days will be the same. You will have the chance to build a career with the world’s leading security provider and benefit from induction and ongoing on-site training.

The role requires an SIA licence, your own transport and a full UK driving licence, plus strong communication skills to serve customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid SIA licence and access to own transport with a full UK driving licence.
• Great communication and customer service skills; comfortable using digital devices.
• Age 18 or over and able to work early mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, uniformed deterrence to enhance safety and security.
• Follow company policy on loss prevention and protect staff and visitors.
• Deter troublemakers lawfully and report incidents using standard systems.
• Fulfill duties as directed by the client or on-site manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and understand local developments.
• Understand and implement fire and safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist staff/contractors with searches when required.
• Maintain a clean and presentable security base and wear full uniform with SIA badge clearly displayed.

Security Relief Officer to work in retail stores in

Early mornings, afternoons, and evenings until midnight. Between the hours of 5am and midnight.

Security Guarding or Door Supervisor SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

As a Relief Security Officer you will be responsible for:

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observing and reporting incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn, and the SIA licence is clearly displayed
