Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to protect premises and staff.
• Enforce company loss prevention policies and safety.
• Deter potential troublemakers and report incidents using proper systems.
• Follow client and manager instructions and maintain site knowledge.
• Keep the security base clean and orderly and ensure uniform is worn with license displayed.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required by the client.

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Bicester

Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour, TSS operates on individual site-based rates

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observing and reporting incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn and the SIA licence is clearly displayed
