Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is recruiting Retail Security Officers to cover Wolverhampton, Walsall and Dudley. You will provide a visible uniformed deterrent and help keep staff and visitors safe. A valid SIA licence (SG/DS) is required, with a full driving licence and your own transport preferred.

Hours vary as this is a relief role and travel between sites is expected. The role offers £14.35 per hour plus benefits including 5.6 weeks holiday, progression training, life assurance,

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to protect premises and staff.
• Enforce company policy on loss prevention and safety.
• Deter troublemakers and observe/report incidents using proper systems.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base and wear a full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed.
• Travel between Wolverhampton, Walsall and Dudley as required.

Job description

Location: Wolverhampton, Walsall & Dudley (must be happy to travel to all locations)

Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour. TSS work with site based rates.

Hours: Various - this is a relief role

SG / DS SIA licence required.

A Full drivers licence and your own transport is ideal.

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observing and reporting incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn and the SIA licence is clearly displayed

It is crucial to have great communication and customer service skills. A lot of admin is digital and paperless, so you'll need to be tech-savvy enough to use our digital devices.

Our perfect Retail Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to always provide a friendly and professional service.
