Job summary

Veolia is hiring at its Materials Recovery Facility in Alton for an entry-level operations role. You will work 40 hours per week on rotating shifts from 6:00 to 14:30 or 14:30 to 23:00, separating materials, hand picking items, and maintaining clean conditions on site.

A UK driving licence and own transport are required due to the location, with additional overtime and attendance bonus potential. Veolia offers benefits including pension, health resources, and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in material recovery or similar plant operations.
• Must have UK driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Separate materials to meet the required standards.
• Hand pick individual materials off the conveyor belt.
• Undertake cleaning duties within the plant.
• Provide cover when needed for other positions within the plant; assist the site Sampler when required.
