Job summary

Veolia is seeking a hands-on operative at our Alton site to separate materials and hand-pick items from the conveyor belt, with cleaning duties and the ability to cover other plant roles as needed.

In addition to operating duties, you may assist the site sampler and participate in sampling and quality checks of outbound material. A UK driving licence and own transport are required due to location.

• Undertaking cleaning duties within the plant.
• Providing cover when needed for other positions within the plant.
• This role also includes providing cover and support to the site Sampler when required. Sampling of materials and assessing the quality of outbound material produced.

Salary: £27,229.90 plus up to £1,469pa attendance bonus

Overtime is available

- time & a half for weekdays & Saturdays. Double time for Sundays

Location: Veolia Material Recovery Facility, Farnham Road, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 4JD

Hours: 40 hours, rotating weekly shifts - 6am to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 11pm
