Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Transfer Station Operative in Birstall, Leeds. You will work 42.5 hours per week, from 07:00 to 16:00, playing a key role in handling waste, keeping the yard clean and assisting with daily site operations.

Ideal candidates will have good communication, teamwork and the ability to follow procedures. Desirable licences for loading shovel/360 grab and mobile plant experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and teamwork are essential.
• Ability to follow site policies and procedures.
• Licences for loading shovel or 360 grab are preferred for this role.
• Experience with mobile plant operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment for handling, sorting and transferring waste.
• Keep the yard area clean and tidy.
• Marshal vehicle movement around the site during busy periods.
• Assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day site operations.
