Job summary

EQ Care Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) for night shifts at Cedar Lodge in Whitchurch-on-Thames. The role covers 8pm–8am with up to 44 hours per week, including alternate weekends. You will lead the team, supervise medication ordering and administration, and provide compassionate care to residents.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable.
• Valid NMC Pin – no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and ensure smooth handovers at shift changes.
• Support and enable residents’ daily living needs.
• Represent Cedar Lodge brand with a professional presence for residents, staff and visitors.
• Liaise with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to promote excellent care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the home.

Role Overview

You will lead by example, as well as ensuring that your team members have the right level of support and guidance. You will provide comfort to those that need it most, liaise with external departments, families, team members and management. Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with the management team and make sure that all relevant information is handed over at the change of shifts
• Ensure each person who lives in the home is supported, and enabled the person’s way – every day
• Represent Cedar Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• To liaise with people who live and work in the home along with, GPs’ and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote excellent care
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.
