Job summary

EQ Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for Cedar Lodge Care Home in Whitchurch-on-Thames, Reading. Bank/flexible hours, 8am-8pm days or 8pm-8am nights; up to £24.48 per hour, dependent on experience. You’ll lead shifts, support residents, manage medication administration, and work with the team to provide person-centred care.

Experience in a similar setting is desirable. A valid NMC pin is required. This bank role offers flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable
• Valid NMC Pin - no restrictions
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and ensure handover at shift changes.
• Ensure residents are supported and enabled in daily activities.
• Represent the Cedar Lodge brand with a professional, welcoming presence.
• Liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams to promote excellent care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the home.

Role Overview

As a bank Registered Nurse at Cedar Lodge, you will be placed at the heart of the home along with the people that live here. Do you want to have the flexibility to work the hours you want? Would you like to work additional shifts as the need arises? You will lead by example, as well as ensuring that your team members have the right level of support and guidance. You will provide comfort to those that need it most, liaise with external departments, families, team members and management. Responsibilities and Duties
