Cedar Lodge in Whitchurch-on-Thames is seeking a Team Leader to champion high-quality care and support for residents in a warm, home-like environment.

You will lead the care team, foster strong relationships with residents and families, attend meetings, and help ensure the home runs smoothly while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. A NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and a people-first attitude are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

• To professionally lead the care team at all times to ensure a safe, effective and well lead care provision is maintained.
• Support the people in the home to achieve the outcomes they wish to achieve – through an enabling and supportive approach
• Represent the Cedar Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• Attend and actively contribute to team meetings.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Experience within a similar environment desirable
• You need to be flexible, patient, with a ‘can do’ caring attitude, and a real 'people person'
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
