Job summary

EQ Care Group’s Cedar Lodge Care Home in Whitchurch-on-Thames is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to deliver high-quality care across day shifts, 8am–8pm, up to 44 hours per week, including alternate weekends. The salary is £56,010 per annum pro rata, depending on experience, and the role is permanent.

You will lead a care team, administer medications, liaise with GPs and families, and uphold a welcoming, person-centred ethos.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable.
• Valid NMC Pin – no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and ensure information handover at shifts.
• Support and enable residents in daily activities and wellbeing.
• Represent Cedar Lodge brand with professionalism for residents and visitors.
• Liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams to promote excellent care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure each person who lives in the home is supported, and enabled the person’s way – every day
• Represent Cedar Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• To liaise with people who live and work in the home along with, GPs’ and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote excellent care
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.
