Job summary

SCR social care is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance and outcomes for young people.

You will oversee operations, uphold safeguarding and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement through your leadership and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in children’s residential services.
• Qualified in leadership and management (NVQ4/RMA or ILM Level 5) or willing to commence within 3 months.
• Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes National Minimum Standards and The Children’s Act 2010.
• Ability to cope with emotionally challenging situations and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the children’s residential home to ensure high care standards.
• Lead safeguarding, welfare and regulatory compliance across the home.
• Develop and implement care plans, training and professional development for staff.
