Job description
Registered Children's Home Manager – Newton Aycliffe

A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for this role with the willingness to get business insurance.

Experience in Children's Residential is a must

Do you have what it takes to provide a safe, nurturing and caring home for children and young people who present with emotional behavioural difficulties and complex health needs.

Role Requirements
  • A level 3 in residential childcare.
  • A level 5 in leadership and management for children and young peoples workforce or (willing working towards)
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience working with Children and young people in a residential setting
  • Flexibility
  • Have an open, inclusive style of interaction with people.
  • Have strong administrative/organisational skills.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with a high level of competency in differentiating style for audience.
  • The to be able to handle a complex workload meeting deadlines and prioritising competing demands.
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have clear and concise writing skills and the ability to handle long and complex documents.
  • Have an ability to manage difficult situations with emotional intelligence, empathy, tact and diplomacy.
  • Have a high competence in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Be Proactive in problem solving and decision‑making ability.
Pay Rate

£45,000 up to £52,000 – dependent upon experience and qualifications.

An allowance will be paid of £75 per sleep‑in.

Mileage will be paid at 40p per mile.

On calls are paid at £45 per on call.

Shift Information

40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) however at times this may be including weekends, bank holidays and sleepovers.

The Registered Manager will be responsible for a 3‑bed home with the possibility of turning into a dual registered manager in the future.
