Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager for its new children’s LD residential home in York. You will lead and develop a care team to deliver high-quality, compliant services to children and young people with complex needs.

The role requires safeguarding expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a track record of managing residential teams. You will implement care plans, maintain records, and ensure outcomes align with standards set by the sector.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
• Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the residential home in York, supporting children and young people with LD and other complex needs.
• Lead and develop teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.
• Ensure high-quality care delivery and full regulatory compliance across all activities.
