Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a new children’s LD residential home in York. You will oversee daily operations, guide staff, and ensure high-quality care while complying with regulatory standards.

The role shapes service development from the outset and aims for outstanding outcomes. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 5 Diploma (England) and have 3+ years in children’s residential care, including leadership.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in children’s residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children’s services.
• Experience planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the York children’s residential home.
• Lead, manage and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
• Act as corporate parent to the children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Develop and embed best practice to achieve outstanding outcomes and regulatory compliance.
