Job summary

Agincare seeks an Ofsted-registered Manager for our brand new not-for-profit Children's Services Residential Home in York. You will lead, develop and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, acting as a corporate parent to the children we care for.

As Registered Manager you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure high‑quality care, and maintain full compliance with safeguarding, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in children's residential care, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted regulatory understanding.
• Experience planning care plans and maintaining documentation per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the residential home.
• Lead and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
• Ensure high-quality care while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections; drive service development.
