About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory and Compliance

  • Hold and maintain registration with theCare Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Ensure full compliance with the Healthand Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 andassociated guidance.
  • Prepare for and lead on CQC inspectionsand maintain a rating of Good or Outstanding.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge oflegislative, regulatory and policy developments relevant to the service.

ServiceLeadership

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary teamto deliver person-centred support tailored to individual needs andoutcomes.
  • Promote a culture of openness,accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that services are responsive,inclusive, and adaptable to client needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate service deliveryagainst agreed KPIs and quality standards.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Leadfor the service.
  • Ensure timely reporting and robustmanagement of safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments andimplement appropriate control measures.

StaffManagement and Development

  • Recruit, supervise and develop staff,ensuring full compliance with safer recruitment practices.
  • Deliver staff supervisions, appraisals,and performance management.
  • Identify training needs and ensure theworkforce is skilled, supported, and compliant with mandatoryrequirements.
  • Promote a culture of learning, reflectivepractice, and professional development.

Client Careand Family Engagement

  • Oversee assessments, support planning,reviews and transitions in partnership with clients, families, andprofessionals.
  • Ensure support is outcome-focused,strengths-based and promotes independence.
  • Build trusting relationships withfamilies, commissioners and external professionals.
  • Previousexperience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a supportedliving or similar service.
