Job description

An exceptional new opportunity has arisen with a specialist care provider in Radstock, Somerset, focusing on Health and Social Care support for Adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Autism. Domus is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a service supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities.

We are looking for a Health and Social Care professional with experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Autism at a management level. The strongest candidates will have previously been registered with CQC. Ideally, we are seeking an established Registered Manager but would also consider an experienced Deputy Manager looking to step up.

This is a great opportunity to work with a highly reputable national provider delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults across the country. As part of the management team, you will be responsible for a service providing essential support for people living with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:
  1. Lead and direct teams in person-centered planning and support, ensuring tailored support plans are completed, reviewed, and continuously developed to meet individual needs, wishes, and outcomes.
  2. Ensure teams actively support and promote the health and well-being of the people supported, reporting any health, behavioral, emotional, or mental health issues to relevant professionals and seeking support if necessary.
  3. Lead and direct teams to facilitate and empower independence among the people supported.
  4. Support the development and growth of the organization, aligning with business development objectives and KPIs in line with strategic aims.
  5. Maintain good local market knowledge around Radstock, Somerset, to maximize opportunities for the supported individuals and stay aware of external changes affecting the service's market position.
  6. Be responsible for quality management and auditing of service delivery, maintaining accurate quality assurance records and implementing required improvements.
Registered Manager Requirements:
  1. Experience working in Autism, Learning Disabilities, or Mental Health sectors as a Service Manager, Home Care Manager, Registered Care Home Manager, Learning Disabilities Manager, Residential Home Manager, or Deputy Manager.
  2. At least two years of recent experience in a senior management position.
  3. A commitment to ensuring each person receives care tailored to their individual needs.
  4. Understanding of CQC assessment criteria.
  5. Experience in managing and developing staff teams.
  6. Qualified or willing to complete the Level 5 diploma in Health and Social Care; minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  7. Good understanding of risk management and health and safety.
  8. Self-motivated, organized, flexible, and caring.
  9. Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
