Sgscare in Salford seeks a Registered Manager for a two-bed children's home. You will lead a small, specialist team, ensure high standards of care, and drive service performance in line with Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
The role requires Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (essential) and Level 5 in Leadership and Management (preferred or willingness to enrol within 6 months). A full UK driving licence and at least two years in residential care are essential.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (DOE), plus an annual quality and commercial bonus from £5,000
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
Service: Children's Home (2-bedded, currently one settled young person)
Service Users: Children and young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
Qualifications Required: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (essential); Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred at point of application, or willingness to enrol within 6 months of starting)
Experience Required: At least 2 years in a role related to residential care of children, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years

Who we are looking for: Someone passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people in care, with a strong understanding of the Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements. You'll be confident in planning, organising, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership, with efficient spoken and written communication skills and an understanding of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour. A full UK driving licence is required.
