Job summary

Aspris Children’s Services is seeking a Registered Manager for our specialist children’s home in Leyland, North West. You will lead a small, nurturing team delivering 1:1 and 2:1 support for young people with learning difficulties, ensuring personalised care and growth in independence.

You will oversee care planning, safeguarding and regulatory compliance, building strong partnerships with families and professionals while ensuring every child reaches their full potential in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Full UK driving license is essential.
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification required.
• Understanding of Regulation 28 requirements for Children's Homes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the care team to deliver exceptional care for children and young people.

At Aspris Children’s Services, we are searching for the right person to join us in our North West region through the next exciting phase of its development.

As a Registered Manager at our Children's Home in Leyland, you will be at the heart of creating a positive, nurturing, and enriching environment for young people. Our Children's Home in Leyland is a specialist home, supporting young people up to the age of 18 with learning difficulties. As a small, nurturing home, we provide highly individualised care, including 1:1 and 2:1 support where required, ensuring every young person receives the attention, guidance and consistency they need to thrive!

You will lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional care, ensuring children and young people have opportunities to build independence, develop life skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences. From supporting young people to engage with their communities, participate in activities and events, and achieve their personal goals, to overseeing care planning, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping positive outcomes. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people, build strong relationships with professionals, families, and staff, and lead a dedicated team committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

As this is a specialist home, you must have experience working with young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. A full UK driving license, along with your Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management is essential for this role.

To be able to meet Regulation 28 of the Children Home Regulations including:

• Integrity and good character
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
• Experience of leading a team within residential care
