Job summary

Aspris is seeking a Deputy Children's Home Manager for a residential home near March. You will support day-to-day leadership, mentor staff and help create a safe, nurturing environment for 11–18-year-olds with emotional and behavioural needs.

• Integrity and good character required.

• Level 3/ NCQ in heath and social care is required.
• Willing to work towards Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day leadership and operation of the home.
• Lead staff to deliver high-quality, child-centred care and ensure safeguarding practices, care planning, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with families, social workers and professionals to secure the best outcomes for each child.
• Promote independence, life skills, education and community engagement for young people.

Job description

We are a large and nurturing home on the outskirts of March that cares for four young people between the ages of 11 - 18 with emotional and behavioural needs. Our young people are supported at the home and in the community and are encouraged to undertake various activities and hobbies to increase their confidence and sense of belonging. We have a lovely home that supports independence and self-care skills so the young people can be independent in the future. We are currently rated as Outstanding with Ofsted. Everyone that visits talks about how homely and child focused the home is.

As Deputy Children's Home Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the home, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where children and young people can thrive. You will lead by example, supporting and developing the staff team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care, while ensuring effective safeguarding practices, care planning, and regulatory compliance are maintained. Working closely with young people, you will encourage independence, build life skills, promote education and community engagement, and help them achieve their personal goals and aspirations. You will also work collaboratively with families, social workers, and other professionals to secure the best possible outcomes for every child, making a lasting difference to their lives and future opportunities.

• willing to work towards a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
• Team leader experience within residential care
