Job summary

Sgs-Care-Ltd invites applications for a Registered Manager role in a children's home near Manchester. You will lead daily operations, ensuring high standards of care and a nurturing environment for young people aged 5 to 18, with a dedicated staff team.

The successful candidate will have Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Leadership and Management (or be willing to work towards it) and at least 3 years' residential childcare experience, with a focus on safeguarding and excellent outcomes.

  • Monitor and improve care delivery with robust systems and Ofsted readiness.

Service Users: EBD. Our client's homes provide person-centred care for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years with a range of needs.

Number of beds: 3

The Role: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Our client believes in creating a nurturing, supportive environment where every child can thrive. As Registered Manager you will shape the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered while fostering a culture of love-led practice across a dedicated staff team.

Lead with purpose: take full responsibility for the management and operation of the home, ensuring a positive and caring atmosphere for both staff and young people.

Build relationships: establish and maintain strong connections with the local community and a network of professionals, promoting collaboration and support for the children in your care.

Create a homely environment: design a warm, welcoming space that reflects the views and needs of the children, ensuring they feel safe and valued.

Deliver excellence: maintain robust monitoring systems so that the highest standards of care are consistently met, and implement improvements where needed.

Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Leadership and Management, or a willingness to work towards it.

Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a residential childcare setting is essential. An Adults and Children's DBS on the update service is desirable but not essential.
