Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Regional Training Manager to lead regional trainer teams across contracts, ensuring an efficient learning support service and high standards of delivery.

You will report to the Escorting Services Learning & Development Lead, coordinating with the Training Support Team and wider L&D groups to deliver QA, compliance and innovative training solutions nationwide.

Qualifications

• Recognised L&D qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 5 or City & Guilds Level 4 in L&D), or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Proven people leadership of a training or operational team, ideally dispersed and multi-site.
• Strong planning, scheduling and resource management skills in a complex, high-volume environment.
• Proven expertise in instructional design, assessment design and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction and coaching to the regional trainer team, keeping them engaged, motivated and supported.
• Set clear performance expectations; conduct regular 1:1s, delivery observations and performance reviews.
• Own training scheduling and coordination, translating quarterly and annual plans into practical, deliverable delivery schedules.
• Work with operational managers to forecast demand and adjust deployment; surface capacity and blank-day findings as commercial intelligence for the L&D Lead.
• Lead the Training Support function, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation and system accuracy.
• Work with the RTM (Content, Q & A) to keep records audit-ready and support inspection response.
