Job summary

Barchester Healthcare seeks an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training across a defined region. You will help staff deliver compassionate, person-centred care as part of a growing portfolio of homes and hospitals.

The role is home-based with travel across Essex and East London and requires a clean UK driving licence; you will partner with Home Managers to implement personal development plans and ensure high training standards.

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 or equivalent qualification.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector.
• 2 years training experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training against objectives and statistics.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars.
• Ensure employee training files are up to date.
• Observe workplace practice and coach staff.
• Arrange induction paperwork and assign a buddy in advance.
• Maintain regular contact with new team members and support them.
• Attend external meetings and conferences when required.
• Promote learning and development opportunities offered by Barchester.
• Work with Home Managers to implement individual personal development plans.
